Washi Urban Multiple Nidhi Limited is located in Washi-Osmanabad, right near the Annapurna Mangal Karyalay. We operate out of House No. 3494, which is Mr. Santosh Gayakwad’s place. It’s a small-town operation through and through. The office is really just a front room where we’ve set up some tables and chairs. When there’s a wedding or a big party at the Annapurna hall next door, you can hear the music and the people cheering, which makes the workday a bit more interesting. We are a Nidhi company, so we focus on helping the local folks in Washi save their money and get small loans when they need them for their farms or shops. We don't have any flashy lights or big corporate slogans. We just have a small sign and a door that’s usually open during the day. Santosh is often there to greet people and handle the paperwork. We use a lot of paper ledgers because we like having a physical record of everything. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it works for us and the people here. We know most of the people who come through the door by name. It’s a quiet life for the most part, just keeping the urban fund going for the community here in Osmanabad. We don't need a fancy office to do our work properly, just a clear desk and honest records.
