Pangav is a quiet spot in Kallam. We opened up Uac Urban Nidhi Limited right here. It isn't a massive building or anything. Just a room where we sit with a couple of chairs. Folks from the village walk in after their work in the fields or shops. We help them with their small savings. Usually, there's a tea stall nearby where we get our morning chai. Someone might come in to ask about a small loan for a wedding or just to keep some money safe for a bit. It gets hot in the afternoons here in Kallam, so things slow down. We keep the books updated by hand mostly. There is a computer but it’s mostly for the final entries. It’s a simple life. We know everyone’s name and whose son is working where. That's the way things are in Pangav. We don't have uniforms. Just regular clothes. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk until it comes back. It is just about helping the neighbors handle their cash without having to travel all the way to the big city. The address is easy to find if you are local. Just ask for the Nidhi office at the post.
