Shantai Medicals

Our shop is right at Jijau Chowk on Solapur Road, near the Barshi Naka area. It’s a very busy intersection, so there is always a lot of noise from the bikes and the buses stopping nearby. We opened up here because it is a spot where everyone passes by at some point. The space is filled with shelves from floor to ceiling, mostly because we have to keep so many different things in stock. It can be a bit hard to find things sometimes if you don't know the layout, but we have our own system for where everything goes. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights, just the standard tubelights that flick on every morning. The counter is usually a bit cluttered with prescriptions and notebooks. During the monsoon, the water sometimes splashes in from the road, so we have to keep the front covered. We are here from early morning until late at night, and it’s usually just two or three of us behind the counter. We know a lot of the people who come in because they live in the neighborhood or work nearby. There isn't any big story about us; we just saw a spot at Barshi Naka and decided to set up shop. It’s a lot of standing and talking to people, but that’s the way it is. We just focus on keeping the shelves filled.
