You can find us at the Kala Maruti Chowk in Tuljapur. It’s a very central spot, so there is always someone passing by or a rickshaw honking outside. The shop is small and can get a bit cramped when three or four people are waiting at the counter. We’ve got medicine bottles and boxes stacked pretty much everywhere there’s space. The light near the back of the store flickers sometimes, but we haven't had time to fix it yet. We mostly deal with the people living in the immediate area who need their regular tablets or something for a cold. During the pilgrimage seasons, the chowk gets incredibly packed, and it takes twice as long to do anything. We try to keep the shop floor swept, but with people coming in and out all day, it’s hard. Our computer is a bit slow, so we still do a lot of things by hand in our ledger. It’s a bit of an old-school way of working, but it works for us. We know most of our customers by face, if not by name. The afternoons can be slow when the sun is high, so we usually use that time to restock the shelves. We don’t have a fancy sign or anything, just the name above the door that everyone recognizes. It’s just a honest, local business trying to keep the community supplied with what they need.
