If you are heading down Dhoki Road in Kallam, you’ll find us easily enough. We are right there in the Osmanabad district, sitting in a spot that gets quite a lot of sun during the day. This place, Kallambh Dhan Suraksha Nidhi Limited, isn't some high-rise office with glass walls. It’s just a regular building where we spend most of our hours. My cousin told me I should write something about what we do, but there isn’t much to say other than we help people with their savings and small loans. It’s the kind of stuff everyone needs but no one likes talking about for too long. We open up early because the people around here start their day before the heat gets too bad. You’ll find us talking to farmers or the shopkeepers from down the street. We use simple registers and some basic software, nothing too complicated. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just keep sitting there and chatting with whoever is in the office until it comes back on. It’s a quiet life in Kallam for the most part. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. People just know us because we’ve been around. We try to be fair and just get the paperwork right so nobody has a headache later on. That’s pretty much how we run things day in and day out.
