Gajanan Traders

If you go down to Shivaji Chowk in Kallam, you will see us there. Gajanan Traders has been sitting on this corner for a good bit of time now. The chowk is always noisy with tractors and people walking to the market, so there is never a dull moment. We deal with all sorts of trading goods that the local people need for their homes and small businesses. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to fit as much as we can on the shelves. Sometimes things get a little disorganized, but we usually know where everything is tucked away. My family helps out quite a bit, especially on market days when everyone comes into town from the outskirts. We don't do much advertising or anything like that. Most people just know our face because we’ve lived here our whole lives. Kallam is a tight place, and word travels fast if you don't treat people right. We open up pretty early before the heat gets too bad. By mid-afternoon, it gets a bit slow, so we sit out front and watch the traffic go by. It’s a decent way to make a living. We aren't trying to become a huge corporation or anything. Just keeping the shop running and making sure the folks in Shivaji Chowk have a place to get their supplies without any fuss. It’s plain and simple work, and that’s fine by us.
