Mahanadi Coalfields Limited

Our main spot is at D-13, P.O. Jagriti Vihar, within the M.C.L. Complex in Burla, Orissa. Being part of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited means we are part of something quite large, but our daily life here in the complex is pretty down-to-earth. Jagriti Vihar is where many of us live and work, so it feels more like a small town than just a company site. There is a lot of dust because of the nature of the work, and the sun in Orissa can be really punishing during the summer months. We have people coming and going all the time, from engineers to truck drivers. It is a place that never really sleeps. We don't have a lot of time for polished corporate speeches. Most of our conversations are about production numbers, equipment repairs, and shifts. We are a community here in Burla. We have our own schools and shops nearby. It is a self-contained life in many ways. Sometimes the roads are bumpy and things don't go exactly as planned, but we just keep going. We know how important the work we do is for the region, even if we don't talk about it in fancy terms. It is just hard work in a rugged place, and we are proud to be part of the Burla landscape. We show up every day and get the job done properly for everyone.
