We are based out of the Hindalco Colony in Hirakud, which is a quiet part of Sambalpur. Our office is in one of the quarters, specifically F 4/2. It’s a bit different from a big city office, feeling more like a part of the community here. Being near the industrial area and the dam means there is always something going on with infrastructure. We spend our days coordinating the local work we do. It’s a simple space with a few desks and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. You can hear the sounds of the colony life around us while we try to get the engineering drawings finalized. The Orissa weather can be a bit much, especially the humidity, but we’re used to it by now. We work with a lot of local people and teams who come by to discuss the progress of our current projects. It’s a hands-on type of job. There isn't any flashy signage out front, just our name so people know they’ve reached the right door. We handle the logistics and the site management from this little hub. It’s cozy but it works for us. We focus on the concrete, the steel, and making sure the projects move along at a decent pace. It’s not glamorous, but it is important for the area. Most of us have been around here long enough to know everyone in the neighborhood. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
