Jindal Steel & Power Ltd

This is the commercial office for Jindal Steel & Power Ltd in Village Nisa. We are right in the Angul district of Orissa. Being in a village means things are a bit different than the city offices. It’s a big site and we handle the commercial side of things. The road leading up here can get quite muddy when it rains, so we all wear sturdy shoes. There’s a lot of movement with trucks and people coming in for business. Our office is a practical space, built to get things done rather than to look pretty. We have big tables where we spread out the charts and shipping documents. It’s often quite noisy with the sounds of the plant nearby. We get used to the humming of the machinery. We have a lot of people coming in and out all day asking about orders and deliveries. It’s a busy life here in Nisa. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just some maps of the area and maybe a few old photos. The ceiling fans work hard to keep us cool because Orissa gets very hot. We drink a lot of water and keep the files moving. It’s a core part of the operation. We are right there where the steel is being managed. It’s tough work but it’s what we do every day without much fuss. We just try to keep up with everything.
