We’ve been based here in Damanjodi for a while now. Most people know the office is out in the Koraput district. It’s a busy spot, and there is always something going on with the projects. We don't really do much fancy talk here. Most of us just show up, get the work done, and go home. Dealing with the weather in Orissa can be a bit of a challenge sometimes, especially when the rains hit hard, but we manage. Gannon Dunkerley & Co., Ltd has a lot of history, but on the ground here, it’s just about the daily tasks. Our yard stays pretty dusty most of the time because of the trucks coming in and out. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it suits us fine. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit backed up, but we sort it out eventually. We have a small crew at this site. Everyone knows everyone else's name, which makes things easier when a problem pops up. If you come by, you’ll probably see us just trying to keep everything moving. We don't have a big shiny lobby or anything like that. Just some desks, a few maps on the wall, and plenty of coffee. It’s practical. We focus on the site work and making sure the supplies arrive when they are supposed to. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do here in Damanjodi. Every day brings a new set of puzzles to solve, and we just tackle them one by one.
