We're Thriveni Earth Movers Pvt.Ltd, based out of the Area Office Complex in Sripur, which is part of the Burdwan district in West Bengal. It’s a bit of a crowded area with all the different offices around, but we have our own little corner here. Most days are spent looking after the logistics of moving earth and managing the big gear that comes through this sector. Being near the office complex means there is always someone passing by or a truck idling somewhere nearby. We share the space near Shyam Kishor Singh’s place, which makes it easier for people to find us if they are looking for the yard. The weather gets really humid around here, so the office can feel a bit stuffy during July and August. We aren't really about looking polished; the floors usually have some dirt on them from people coming in from the sites. Everyone knows each other's names, and we mostly focus on getting the schedules right for the day. It’s not the quietest place to work because of the engines, but you get used to the noise after a week or two. We drink a lot of chai from the vendor across the street when we need a break from the paperwork. The paperwork is just part of the job, making sure the drivers and the machines are where they should be in Sripur. It is just a regular local operation making sure the work gets finished. We don’t bother with anything that doesn't help get the job done.
