You can find Thriveni Earthmovers Pvt Ltd in Barbil, right behind St. Mary’s School and near the Alekh Mandir. We are in Ward Number 10, tucked away in a spot that’s easy to miss if you aren't looking for Ram Lakhan Prasad Sinha’s place. Barbil is a busy town, always full of dust and trucks because of all the mining nearby. Our office is a simple place where we keep the records for the earthmovers. It’s a bit noisy with the school nearby and the general town traffic, but we don't mind it much. The walls are a bit stained from the red rain that falls during the wet season. Most of our work happens out on the edges of town where the actual digging is. We have a small group here in Orissa that handles the paperwork and the mechanic calls. It gets pretty frantic when a deadline is approaching, but usually, it is just the steady hum of machines in the distance. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the weather or how the roads are holding up. We don't have any big corporate goals; we just make sure the earth gets moved from one spot to another like it’s supposed to. It’s a gritty job, but someone has to do it, and we've been doing it here for a while now. We try to keep things moving even when the weather isn't helping us much. That is just how life is in Barbil for us.
