We are located in Joda, which is in the Keonjhar district of Orissa. If you know this area, you know it is all about the earth and what comes out of it. Our office is right here in town, near the post office. Dealing with earthmovers means we are used to big machines and a lot of dust. The red soil of Keonjhar gets on everything, including our shoes and the floors of the office. It is a rugged place to work, but we are used to it. We spend our days coordinating where the machinery needs to go and making sure the operators have what they need. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit and tie. Most of us are in sturdy clothes ready to head out to a site if needed. The town of Joda is busy with trucks and heavy equipment moving through all the time. Our office is a place where people can come in, have a glass of water, and talk about the work. We don't have any fancy mission statements or polished brochures. We just know how to handle the equipment and the terrain. It’s a small community of workers out here, and we all know each other. Life in Orissa can be tough with the heat and the rain, but the work keeps us going. We’ve been part of the landscape here for a long time.
