So, this is the spot for Vedanta Aluminium Ltd,Jharsuguda (Orissa), but we are actually based here in Vil. Bairampur. It’s a bit of a distance from the main Jharsuguda site, tucked away in the Farrukhabad district of Uttar Pradesh. Post Nagalanan is where the mail comes. Mostly, we handle things from this side of the country. It’s a rural area, so things move at a certain pace. You won't find any big city rush here. We have our yard and the guys working the shifts. The air is different here than in Orissa, but the work is still the same metal business. We spend our mornings checking the stock and making sure everything is ready for transport. Sometimes the roads around Farrukhabad get a bit rough, especially after it rains, so we have to plan around that. We aren't big on meetings or long emails. We just talk at the site and figure out what needs doing for the day. It’s a practical way to run things. Most of the staff live nearby, so we all know each other’s families and stuff.
