Sepcoiii

This branch of Sepcoiii is located in the Bhurkamund area of Jharsuguda, Orissa. It’s a bit further out than the main town office, closer to where the actual field work happens. Being in Bhurkamund means we are right in the thick of the industrial zone. You can hear the machinery and see the tall structures from the gate. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a while now. The office is mostly just a few rooms for the engineers and the site supervisors to sit down and go over the drawings. It’s dusty because of all the construction around us, but that’s life on a power project. We get a lot of local workers coming through every morning to get their assignments. It’s a busy place from sunrise. We don't have any polished marketing or anything like that, just a sign on the door and some desks inside. Most of us wear work boots and dusty clothes because you can't really stay clean working in Bhurkamund. The roads around here can be tough during the monsoon season, so we have to plan our transport carefully. We handle the day-to-day operations and make sure the materials are where they need to be. It’s practical work. We eat our lunch together and talk about the progress we’ve made. It is an honest living and we are glad to be part of the Jharsuguda industrial landscape. It’s a long day but the work is steady.
