S M.C Power Generation Ltd, Jharsuguda, Orissa

S M.C Power Generation Ltd is based out of Jharsuguda, but a lot of our local coordination happens through the address in Bargarh. That’s at the Revenue Colony, near Gandhi Park. It is the residence and office space associated with the family of Ananda Sahu. Working in power generation in Orissa means we are often dealing with big plants and lots of technical details. However, the atmosphere at our Bargarh office is much more down-to-earth. It’s located in a regular neighborhood, so you hear the sounds of the park and the colony while we are working on reports or going over the power output data. The distance between Jharsuguda and Bargarh is something we just deal with as part of the job. We aren't a corporate giant with glass buildings. We are just people who understand how the local power needs work. There are a lot of papers to sign and government regulations to follow in this industry, so we spend a lot of time at our desks in the Revenue Colony. It’s a quiet spot, which is good when you need to concentrate on the numbers. We’ve been part of the community here for a long time, and people know the Sahu name. We don't put on any airs about what we do. We just make sure the generation side of things is running as it should and the paperwork stays up to date. It is a steady life and we keep at it every single day without fail. The work matters to the area.
