Cement/Steel

The Meher Complex is a bit older now. Mihir Tripathy is usually the one you'll talk to if you call. The office is on Kalimandir Road, so you can imagine the noise when there’s a festival. Orissa gets really hot in the summer, and the fan in the office barely does anything. We have some chairs for people to sit while they wait. The floor is concrete, which makes sense for a cement and steel place. We spend a lot of time checking the shipments coming in. It’s not a glamorous job, but someone has to do it. The street outside is always busy with cycles and trucks. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit and wait it out. It's just a regular local business. We don't have any fancy brochures. People just come in and tell us what they need for their building projects. We write everything down in the big books we keep on the desk. It feels like we’ve been here forever, honestly. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we never get around to it because there's always something else to do. If you're looking for us, just head toward the temple area and look for the complex. It’s a plain sign, nothing special to look at. We are just here doing our thing day in and day out.
