Steno

Keonjhar is a place where things move a bit slower than the big cities, and we like it that way. Our office for Steno is at Anandapur in the Patara Sahi area. Omkar Prasad Das is the one usually looking after the daily operations. It’s a local setup, right in the heart of the community. Orissa can get really hot in the summer months, so the office is a bit of a refuge from the sun. The building is simple and doesn't stand out much from the others on the street. We have a few desks and some basic equipment to get our tasks done. Most people who live around here know where to find us. It’s not a corporate environment with suits and ties; it’s more about being practical and getting the work done so we can go home. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow because of the location, but we manage to stay on track. We've been part of the Anandapur landscape for a while now. The floors are easy to clean and the chairs are comfortable enough for a full day's work. We don't have any big mission statements written on the walls. We just show up, do what needs doing, and try to be helpful to the folks who drop by. It’s a quiet life in many ways, but there is always something to keep us occupied during the week. We usually shut the windows by late afternoon to keep the dust out.
