Jindal Stainless Limited

Our spot is on the ground floor of Barodi Apartment in Modern Park. It is tucked away in Santoshpur, specifically near 8 No Central Road. If you are familiar with this part of Kolkata, you know it’s a lived-in area with a lot of character. We don't have a big sign or a glass front. It’s just an ordinary apartment turned into a workspace for Jindal Stainless Limited. Being on the ground floor means we see everyone passing by on the street. It gets a bit damp during the monsoon, and we have to keep the fans running all day to deal with the humidity. Inside, it’s mostly just us working around a couple of large tables. We keep our ledgers and records in old steel cabinets that rattle when you open them. The neighbors are mostly families, so it doesn't feel like a cold business district. We get our chai from the stall around the corner, and that’s often the highlight of our afternoon. There’s always a bit of noise from the road, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We handle the local logistics and paperwork from this little office. It’s not a high-tech hub, just a place where we sit down and get through the mountain of tasks every day. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out and talk shop until it comes back. We don't worry about being fancy as long as the work is finished.
