This is the Ambuja Cements spot on Goods Shed Road in Berhampur. Being near the Lanjipaly area means there is always something going on with the railway tracks and the shifting of goods. It’s a dusty place, to be honest. We spend most of our time tracking shipments and making sure the loaders are on schedule. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find people in suits. We wear our work clothes and get through the day. The heat in Ganjam can be a lot, but we have our fans and a little shade. We’ve been operating from this side of town for a long time. People know us by the sound of the trucks. We handle the logistics for this part of Odisha. It’s mostly just making sure the supply doesn't run out for the local builders. Sometimes the trains are late, and that throws everything off, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the biggest or anything, just keeping the cement moving. If you walk down from the main road, you'll see the warehouse. It’s a practical setup. We don’t have a big reception desk or fancy coffee machines. Just a desk, some chairs, and plenty of paperwork to file. We stay busy from morning until the sun goes down. It's a simple life here at the yard, just getting the job done one day at a time.
