Jindal Steel & Power Ltd

We are located in the Siddhi Vinayak Apartment on Desh Bandhu Nagar Road. This is over in Hindmotor, which is part of the Hooghly district in West Bengal. It’s an apartment building, so it’s not what you’d expect for a big name like Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. We are just one of the units there. The stairs are a bit narrow and the elevator is sometimes moody, but we make it work. Most of our day is spent at our desks looking out at the road. You can see the traffic and people going about their business. It’s a busy part of town. Inside the office, it’s mostly just shelves of files and a few computers that have seen better days. We do the coordination for this region. It’s a lot of data entry and talking to suppliers. We don’t have any fancy signs or a big entrance. It’s just a door with a small plate on it. The lighting isn't the best, but we have enough lamps. It’s a small group of us here. We know each other’s habits pretty well by now. We usually get tea from the shop downstairs during the afternoon break. It’s a very local feel, nothing like those big offices you see in the city. We just come in, do the work for the steel company, and head home to our families in the evening. It is just our regular daily routine.
