Senior Engg

I have been doing engineering work for quite a while now. My setup is pretty simple, usually working as a consultant or a lead on local projects. I go by the name Senior Engg because that is what most people started calling me on the job sites years ago. I do not have a big fancy office with a logo on the door. I mostly work out of my bag and whatever desk is available at the project site I am visiting. I spend my time looking at blueprints and checking that the structure is solid and safe. It is a lot of math and making sure the physics makes sense before we build. I have worked on a lot of different things, from small repairs to bigger technical setups. I do not like to overcomplicate things with big speeches or long reports. I just want the job done right. Sometimes I am out in the field all day getting covered in dust and mud. Other days I am just sitting quietly and thinking about how to solve a specific mechanical problem that came up. It is just me doing the work. I do not have a team of secretaries or assistants. If someone needs an engineer who actually knows how to use a wrench and a calculator at the same time, they usually find me. It has been my life for years now. I do not plan on changing how I do things. It is about being reliable and knowing the trade inside and out.
