Down here in Angul at Nalco Nagar, things stay pretty busy at B-1725. This is where National Aliminium Co Ltd operates from. It’s a big area and there is always something happening with the trucks coming in or the shifts changing. Living and working around here means you get used to the sounds of the plant. It's just part of life in Orissa. Most of us have been here for years. You get to know everyone's name after a bit. The office isn't much to look at, just desks and a lot of filing cabinets filled with logs and reports. We spend a lot of time making sure the daily numbers are right. It's hard work and the weather can be a bit much when it gets humid, but we manage. People here are straightforward. We don't have much use for big corporate speeches. We just focus on the aluminum side of things and try to keep everything running smooth. It’s a steady job and we take it one day at a time.
