Essel Mining & Industries Ltd. is a unit of the Aditya Birla Group, but we are situated over in West Bengal. You can find us at 6/5 Baisnav Para 1st Lane, which is in P.O. Mahesh in the Hooghly district, specifically Srirampore. It’s a different vibe here than being out at the mines. We are in a more settled area with houses and regular shops around. This is where we handle the side of the business that doesn't involve digging in the dirt. It’s mostly office work and keeping the records straight for the company. The street is a bit narrow like many in Srirampore, and it’s usually pretty busy with people going about their business. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. The neighbors know us as the mining company office, even if the actual mining is far away. We don't have a big sign or anything too fancy out front. It’s just a place where the staff comes to work. We spend our time on the computer or handling files. It’s steady work and we try to keep things organized. Bengal is a good place to be, even if it gets a bit humid in the monsoon season. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It’s not a complicated life here, just a lot of tasks to finish before we go home and call it a day.
