We are tucked away in A-5 of the Jagruti Apartments over on R.M. Mhatre Road. If you know Dahisar West, you know it gets pretty busy around here, especially with the trains and all the people moving about. This is a government office for the Dept. Of Atomic Energy. It is not some fancy high-rise like you see in the movies. It is just a regular apartment building where we have set up our desks and files. The paint on the walls is a bit old and the ceiling fans hum quite a bit when it gets hot in the afternoons. Most days we are just busy with paperwork and checking records. People come in with different requests and we try to get through the folders as fast as we can. It is a bit of a walk from the station, maybe ten or fifteen minutes depending on how fast you walk. There is a small shop nearby where we get our tea twice a day. The stairs are narrow so you have to be careful when two people are passing each other. We have been in this spot for a long time now and most of the neighbors in Jagruti know us. It is just a practical place to do the work that needs doing for the government. Nothing too special to look at, just desks and chairs and stacks of paper everywhere you look. We keep the windows open mostly to let the breeze in and help with the Mumbai humidity. The pin is M68.
