Orai Concrete Products

If you head down NH-24 near Orai Pass, you’ll find us. We are right by Bhagwan Das Mahavidyalaya. Being near a college means there are always students walking around, which makes the area feel young. But our work at Orai Concrete Products is heavy and old-fashioned. We deal with cement, molds, and heavy machinery every day. Everything is covered in a thin layer of grey dust, no matter how much we sweep the floors. It’s just the nature of the job. We make various concrete items that people need for building things. Some days the mixer acts up and we have to spend the morning fixing it with grease and wrenches. It’s hard on the hands and my back usually aches by the time we finish. We don’t wear suits here. We wear boots and clothes that we don’t mind getting dirty. The sun beats down on the yard during the summer, so we try to get the heavy work done early in the morning. We sit on some old wooden benches during our breaks. We talk about the weather or the local news. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. We just have our yard and our products. People know where we are if they need something solid. Being out here near the college and the highway gives us plenty of space to work. We just keep making our blocks.
