Rahim Saw Mills

Rahim Saw Mills has been operating on Good Shed Road for many years. If you walk down the road, you can’t miss the sound of the saws or the smell of cut wood. It’s a very busy street with a lot of movement, mostly trucks and workers. Our mill is a large open space filled with stacks of timber and piles of sawdust. We don't have a fancy office building. Our desk is just a small corner under the roof where we keep our logbooks and a few pens. Everything is covered in a thin layer of wood dust, but that’s just part of the job. We don't use any modern marketing or try to sound bigger than we are. We are just a local saw mill doing what we’ve always done. The work is physically demanding and we are usually tired by the end of the shift. We cut the wood to the sizes people ask for and help them load it up. There is no corporate structure here. We just work together to get the orders finished. Good Shed Road is a gritty, industrial part of town, and we fit right in. We don't mind the noise or the hard work. It feels good to see the raw logs turn into something useful. We start early in the morning when it’s still cool and work until the sun goes down. It’s an honest way to make a living for us.
