It’s a lot of heavy lifting here every single day. We deal with bags of cement that leave dust on everything and long iron rods that are quite a handful to move around. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack things carefully to make sure there’s enough room for people to walk in. You can usually hear the sound of steel clanging against the floor when we are unloading a fresh truck. Being near the temple means there is always a lot of foot traffic and people moving about. We get a lot of locals coming in asking for a few bags of cement for a small repair or builders looking for enough steel for a whole floor. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. It’s mostly just us standing behind the counter or helping load up a cart. The sun can get really bright on the street, so we appreciate the shade of the roof when we can get a minute.
