Santosh Spices Company

We are out here in Katra Village, near the Khajuha Block. If you are looking for us, just find the Baroda UP Gramin Bank. We are right by there. Santosh Spices Company isn't a huge factory. It is a place where we get the spices sorted and ready. The smell of turmeric and chili is everywhere. Sometimes it makes you sneeze. The village is quiet mostly, but our workplace is noisy. We work with local farmers mostly. They bring in what they grow and we handle the rest. The roads around here are not the best. When it rains, everything turns to mud and getting the trucks in is a headache. We have a small team of people from the nearby houses. Everyone knows everyone else. We eat lunch together under the shade when the sun is too much. The bank people come by sometimes to say hello. It feels good to be a part of the local community like this. We don't have a big sign or anything. People just know where we are. We've been doing this for a long time now. The machinery we use is old but it still works. We spend a lot of time cleaning it. Making spices is a dusty job but someone has to do it for the kitchens in the city. It's just what we do every day without much fuss. We hope the rains aren't too bad this year because the roof leaks a bit near the storage area.
