District Health Society, Jehanabad

Our office is tucked away in Nonhi Math, right in the Kako area of Jehanabad. It is one of those places where there is always something happening, even if it looks quiet from the outside. Being part of the District Health Society means we handle a lot of the local health paperwork and coordinating for the district. The building itself is pretty plain, just a standard setup with desks and cabinets full of files. During the summer, the heat in Bihar gets quite heavy, so the fans are always spinning. We see people from all over Jehanabad coming through the doors. Some are looking for help with documents, others are here for meetings about the local clinics. It isn't a fancy corporate place at all. It’s just us doing the work that needs to get done. The road outside can get noisy with the traffic going through Kako, but you get used to it after a while. We spend a lot of time talking to the doctors and the staff from the different blocks. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to wait around to get things uploaded. That is just part of the daily life here. If you are looking for us, we are right there in the Math area, not too far from the main road. We’ve been at this spot for a good while, and most people in the neighborhood know where the health office is. It is just a normal day for us.
