Sanghvi Products. This is a family-run sort of place, and you can tell by the way things are set up. It’s not the most organized office in the world, with stacks of paper and old samples sitting on the windowsills, but we know where everything is. We spend our days dealing with the manufacturing of our products, which involves a lot of manual labor and keeping an eye on the machinery. It’s a noisy place, and there’s always someone calling out to get a hand with a heavy box or to ask about a specific measurement. We’ve had the same neighbors for years, so we often stand outside for a few minutes in the evening to talk about the local news while the machines cool down. We don’t go in for big advertising or anything like that; most people find us by word of mouth or because they’ve seen our trucks around town. The work is repetitive sometimes, but we take a certain pride in getting the details right. It’s about showing up early, making sure the machines are oiled, and getting through the day’s list of tasks. We aren’t trying to change the world, just trying to provide for our families and keep the shop running smoothly. When the lights go off at night, we feel like we’ve put in a solid day of honest effort, and that’s enough for us.
