You’ll find OPEC Udyog over in the New Industrial Estate in Jagatpur. We occupy blocks B-7, 8, and 9, which gives us a decent amount of room for the manufacturing we do. Cuttack has been our home for a long time, and being in the industrial area means we’re around a lot of other businesses doing heavy lifting. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it suits us just fine. The daily routine is pretty set for everyone. We start early, get the machines warmed up, and start working through the production schedule for the week. We deal with various industrial products, and while the name sounds a bit formal, the actual day-to-day work is very hands-on and practical. We have a lot of workers from the nearby areas who have been coming here for many years. The canteen is small, and the office is usually filled with old files and samples of things we’ve made over the decades. We don't really have a big sales team. Most of our business comes from long-standing relationships with other companies in Orissa and the surrounding regions. It can be a bit dusty and loud on the shop floor, but that’s just how industrial work goes. We focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the quality is what it needs to be for the job. It’s a solid, no-nonsense environment where the main goal is just to keep the production moving forward every single day.
