OCTEL CABLES

Our factory is out in the RIICO Industrial Area in Bhiwadi. We are in Phase-III, at G-1/954. If you know Rajasthan, you know it gets incredibly hot and dusty out here. We manufacture cables. We have these big machines that draw the wire and put the insulation on. The sound is constant, a sort of low thumping that you eventually stop hearing. Outside in the yard, we have large wooden drums of finished cable waiting to be loaded onto trucks. It’s a tough environment to work in. We aren't big on office decor. The office is just a small room with a couple of chairs and a filing cabinet that probably needs replacing. We spend most of our time out on the floor making sure the machines are running correctly. We’ve got workers who have been with us for years, coming in from the nearby villages. We don't have any promotional slogans or big plans to take over the world. We just want to make sure the cable we produce is solid and that the orders get shipped out to Alwar or wherever they need to go. Life here is simple. You work hard, you deal with the heat, and you go home. We’ve been in this spot for a long time and we’ve seen the industrial area grow up around us slowly over the years.
