M/S PULAK BARMAN

M/S PULAK BARMAN is based out in Coochbehar, in a place called Patchhara. It’s a different vibe here compared to the big cities in West Bengal. Things move a lot slower, and everyone kind of knows everyone else. The business is run out of a modest building that serves as both an office and a storage spot for whatever we are handling at the time. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy reports. It’s mostly just Pulak and a couple of helpers taking care of the daily chores. The weather here can get very rainy, and sometimes that slows down the work because the roads in Patchhara aren't always the best. We deal with local people and small businesses in the surrounding area. There isn't much in the way of high-tech gadgets in the office; we mostly use old-fashioned ledgers and a simple phone. It’s an honest way to make a living. We open up the shutters in the morning and wait for the day to start. Some days are busy with people coming in and out, and other days it’s just us sitting around and waiting for a delivery. We don't have any corporate goals or big presentations. We just want to make sure the customers get what they asked for and that we can pay the bills at the end of the month. It’s a quiet life in this part of West Bengal.
