The machines at Mohan Elastics Private Limited have a very specific rhythm to them. It’s a clicking sound that goes on from the moment we turn them on in the morning until we shut them down at night. We make all kinds of elastic tapes and bands. If you walked into our workspace, you’d see thousands of spools of white and black thread waiting to be loaded onto the looms. It’s a bit of a maze with all the rows of machinery. We have to keep a close eye on everything because if one thread snaps, the whole batch can get messed up. It takes a lot of patience to sit there and watch the needles moving so fast. We aren't a big corporate office with people in suits. We’re usually wearing comfortable clothes that we don't mind getting a bit of machine oil on. Our team is pretty quiet; everyone just knows their job and gets on with it. We’ve had some of these machines for years, and they need a lot of looking after to keep them running smooth. Sometimes we stay late to finish a big order, and we’ll order in some food for everyone. We don't do much advertising because we're usually busy enough as it is. It’s just a regular workplace where we try to do things right and keep the customers from calling us with complaints. That’s about it for our daily life here.
