Mapsa Industries is a place where things actually get built. We don’t have a flashy office or any of that corporate stuff you see in the city. It’s just a workshop where we handle various industrial jobs. The floor is dark and a bit oily, and there is usually the loud sound of metal hitting metal. We wear our old clothes because everything you touch in here is likely to leave a grease mark. It’s a bit noisy, so we don't do much talking while the big machines are running. We just use hand signals or wait for the lunch break to catch up on things. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to get the work done so that the customers stay happy. It is a lot of physical labor. Most of our backs ache by the time five o'clock rolls around, but that is just part of the job. We have a small crew and we’ve all worked together for a long time. We know each other’s habits and how we like our tea. Lunch is usually eaten together on some wooden crates in the back. We talk about the weather or whatever is happening in the news. It is a simple setup with no slogans or big posters. Just some calendars and a list of things to finish. We keep our heads down and keep moving.
