At LAPL Automotive Private Limited, we spend most of our time dealing with car parts and mechanical things. It’s greasy work often, and our hands usually have some dirt under the nails. That’s just part of the job when you’re around engines and frames all day. We don’t have a fancy office with leather chairs. It’s more about the tools and the heavy lifting. We’ve been working in the automotive field for quite some time now. Some days are just spent looking for a specific part that seems to have vanished. It can be frustrating but we figure it out eventually. We aren't trying to be the biggest name out there. We just like fixing things and seeing them run properly. The radio is usually playing in the background to keep the energy up. We talk about cars even when we aren't working, which might be a bit much for some people. It’s a tight-knit group here. We know who is good at what. If someone gets stuck, another person steps in to help. It’s not a corporate environment at all. It’s just a garage-style setup where we get things done. We take pride in the fact that we can figure out problems that others might skip. Sometimes the shop gets so full of parts that you can barely walk through the aisles. We really should organize it better, but there’s always another job that needs doing right now. We work on all kinds of vehicles, so every day is a bit different. One day it’s a simple fix, and the next we’re scratching our heads.
