Kiran Plastics is just a regular spot where we work with different kinds of plastic parts. The machines have that specific smell when they warm up, sort of like burnt sugar but sharper. It’s a small operation here. We don’t have a massive factory with thousands of people running around. It’s just a handful of us making sure the molds stay clean and the plastic pellets are fed into the hoppers properly. Some days get long when we have a big batch of orders to finish before the weekend. We spend a lot of time checking the finished parts to make sure they aren't warped or thin in the wrong places. The shelves are full of bins with different colors—reds, blues, and blacks mostly. We don't really have a front desk or anyone to greet you. If you walk in, you just have to wait a second for someone to come out from behind the machines. The floor is usually covered in those tiny plastic beads that roll everywhere. It’s almost impossible to sweep every single one of them up. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s not like we are trying to change the world. We are just making the plastic bits that other people need for their own shops. It gets pretty hot during the summer, but the big fans help keep the air moving.
