Lighting is one of those things you don't really think about until the bulb goes out and you're standing in the dark. That’s where we come in, usually. Karee Lighting has been around for a bit now, and we’ve seen all sorts of trends come and go. Remember those huge chandeliers everyone wanted? Now it’s all about those tiny lights hidden in the ceiling. We keep a bit of everything in stock because you never know what someone is going to ask for. Some days it’s just answering phones and telling people which part fits which socket. Other days we are out back checking the inventory and making sure nothing got broken during the delivery. It’s a lot of manual work, moving boxes and testing things to make sure they actually turn on before they leave the shop. We aren't a huge corporation with a fancy lobby, just a regular place where we try to get the job done right. If a customer comes in confused about watts or lumens, we just sit them down and explain it in plain English. It makes things easier for everyone. The shop can get a bit dusty with all the cardboard, but that’s just how it goes when you’re dealing with hardware. We’ve stayed in business because we just show up and do the work. It’s not always easy, especially when the power goes out in the neighborhood, but we keep the flashlights handy and wait for things to come back on. We aren't trying to be anything we're not.
