At Kansara Bearings Limited, we spend most of our time dealing with metal and machinery. Bearings are small things but they are really important for anything that rotates. Our workshop is usually full of the smell of oil and the sound of grinding metal. It’s not a clean job, you get grease on your hands pretty much the minute you walk in. We have been doing this for a long time now. We don't have a big corporate team, just people who know how to handle the lathes and the finishing machines. Every day is about making sure the sizes are exactly right because even a tiny mistake means the bearing won't work in a machine. We use a lot of steel and keep a close eye on the heat treatment process. It gets hot in the factory, especially during the summer months. Most of us have worked together for years and we just know what needs to be done without talking too much about it. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, we just want to make parts that don't fail when someone puts them into a motor or a wheel. It’s a straightforward business. We show up, we do the machining, we check the pieces, and we pack them up. It’s a routine that works for us and keeps the workshop running steadily month after month. We like the work and the quiet focus it takes to get it done.
