At GSM Design & Engineering Solutions, things are mostly about the technical details. We don’t have a big shop front where people just wander in off the street. Most of our day is spent sitting in front of screens or looking over engineering plans. It’s quiet work, mostly, except for when we’re debating the best way to solve a particular design problem. We do a lot of thinking and calculating to make sure everything fits together the way it should. It’s the kind of job where you can spend hours on a single small part of a project without even noticing the time going by. We started this because we liked how things work and wanted to be the ones figuring out the blueprints. We aren't a massive corporation with hundreds of employees; we’re a smaller team that knows each other’s habits. Sometimes the coffee gets cold because someone is too busy staring at a drawing. We don’t really go in for slogans or big promises. Our work is what it is, and we try to be as accurate as possible with the numbers. If there's a mistake, we just fix it and keep moving. It's practical, sometimes a bit tedious, but that’s the nature of engineering. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get the solutions right for the people who hire us. It’s just about being thorough and getting the math done correctly.
