GOLD PLUS GLASS LTD.

At Gold Plus Glass Ltd., the day starts early. We deal with glass all day long, so you have to be pretty focused. The warehouse is a big space where we keep all the stock. It is mostly just racks and rows of different glass types. We spend a lot of our time measuring things and making sure the cuts are straight. It is a lot of physical work, moving the sheets around without breaking them. You get used to the sound of glass being moved and the spray we use to clean it. We wear boots and safety gear because you never know when a small piece might fly off. It is not the kind of place where you can relax much while you are on the floor. We have a small office area where we handle the paperwork, but most of us are out in the back. The lighting has to be good so we can see any bubbles or marks in the glass. It is a bit of a struggle to keep the place organized when so many orders are moving through at once. We don't really have any fancy decorations on the walls. It is just a practical place for working. Sometimes the trucks are late and we have to wait around to load them, which gives us a chance to sit down. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure everything is handled carefully. It is a steady job and we have a good rhythm going.
