We started this lighting thing a while back because we saw how many people were struggling with old bulbs that just kept blowing out. It wasn't anything fancy at first, just a couple of us figuring out how these LEDs actually worked and why some were better than others. Now we spend our days looking at floor plans and trying to figure out where a lamp should go so someone can actually read their book without squinting. It gets pretty busy in the office, especially when a big shipment comes in and there are boxes everywhere. People come to us when they are tired of their rooms looking dark or weirdly yellow. We don't do anything magical, we just look at the space and try to pick the right fixtures. Sometimes the wires get tangled or a design doesn't look right on the first try, so we have to sit down and redo the whole sketch. It’s mostly just us working through the problems one by one. Our team is small, just a few folks who know their way around a circuit board and a light socket. We like the work because at the end of the day, you can actually see what you did. It’s not like those jobs where you just move papers around. You flip a switch and the room looks different. That's basically the whole story of how we ended up here doing this every day. It is a lot of trial and error but we enjoy it.
