Most people think tape is just tape, but once you spend a day in our warehouse, you see it’s a lot more complicated than that. We deal with all sorts of adhesives at Crystal Speciality Tapes. Some are for heavy industrial use and others are for things you wouldn't even think of. We started this because we saw a gap in what was available locally. It’s been a learning process for all of us here. We’ve had to figure out why certain glues don't hold in the heat and which tapes leave a mess when you peel them off. It’s a lot of trial and error. Our office is usually covered in little scraps of backing paper and samples of different materials. We don't have a big fancy showroom, just rows of shelves with big rolls of product. When someone calls with a weird problem, like needing a tape that works underwater or in a freezer, we all huddle around and try to find the right match. It’s practical work. We don't use big words or try to act like we know everything. We just know our tapes. It’s a small team, so everyone does a bit of everything, from answering the phone to loading the crates. It’s just how we operate. We might not be the biggest names out there, but when you need something to stay stuck, we are usually the ones people call. There’s always some sticky residue on the door handles because of what we do, but that's life here.
