Asmaco Packaging Industries

The floor at Asmaco Packaging Industries is usually covered in scraps of cardboard and tape. We spend the day making boxes and containers for all sorts of products. It’s a repetitive job, but there’s a certain rhythm to it once you get the machines going. Sometimes the glue gets messy or a roll of paper jams up, and everything stops for a bit while we clear it out. We aren't a high-tech operation with robots everywhere; it’s mostly just us keeping an eye on things. We’ve got a small crew, and everyone knows which machine is acting up on any given day. It’s practical work. People need stuff packed, and we provide the materials to do it. We don't spend a lot of time thinking about fancy branding or anything like that. We just make sure the boxes are strong enough to hold whatever's going inside them. The warehouse gets cold in the winter and pretty hot in the summer, but nobody complains much. We just keep moving. It's been this way for a while now, and we've gotten pretty good at figuring out how to fit weirdly shaped items into standard sizes. It’s not a glamorous business, but it’s a necessary one. We just try to get the orders out the door without making mistakes. It's a simple goal, but it keeps us busy enough to stay out of trouble.
