At AKRITI TAPES AND PACKAGING INDIA PVT. LTD., things are always a bit sticky, literally. We deal with all kinds of industrial tapes and packaging materials. Our warehouse is usually filled with the sound of those big tape slitting machines. It’s a repetitive sound, but you get used to it after the first hour. Most of our day is spent filling orders and making sure the rolls are cut to the right size. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and moving rolls around. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you come by, you’re going to see stacks of cardboard boxes and giant rolls of plastic film. It’s a practical workspace. The floor is concrete and we have these big metal shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. We try to keep it clean, but there’s always bits of tape and scrap paper everywhere. It’s just the nature of the business. We don't have a big HR department or anything like that. If there’s a problem, we just talk it out over a cup of tea. It’s a straightforward operation. We make the tape, we pack it, and we send it out. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in India; we just want to make sure the people who buy from us get what they paid for. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday, usually finishing up late in the evening.
