Our branch is located at B-50 in Sector II of the Nalco Township. It is a little different from the other sectors here in Damanjodi, but it still has that same quiet, industrial feel. Working for Mcnally Bharat Engg.Co. Ltd out here in the Koraput district means you get really used to the hills and how things operate around a big site like this. Our office is basically just a residence we’ve converted, which makes it feel more like a home than some sterile corporate building. We spend our time managing the local engineering tasks and making sure the supplies and drawings are where they need to be for the day's work. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow out here in Orissa, but we manage to get things done eventually. It’s a very practical way of working. Most of the staff have been living in this township for years, so we’re all pretty used to the daily routine. We don't have fancy lobbies or receptionists. Usually, someone just yells from the back if there is a visitor at the door. We focus on the job at hand, whether that's sorting out mechanical issues or handling site logistics. Damanjodi is a unique place to be stationed, and we’ve made this corner of Sector II our base. We are just a group of workers putting in the hours to get the engineering work done properly without any fuss. We just keep going, day after day.
