Kesineni Sri Devi Memorial Charitablefoundation

Kesineni Sri Devi Memorial Charitablefoundation is located right at 21-125/1, near the Pedda Gandhi Bomma Center. It’s a busy spot, and almost everyone in town passes by it at some point during the week. We set this up in memory of Sri Devi because she was the kind of person who never turned anyone away. We try to keep that spirit going, even if we’re just a small group of family and friends. It’s not a polished organization with a big marketing budget. We mostly just use our own savings and whatever local people can chip in. Our office is simple, filled with old desks and a lot of paper. We deal with whatever walks through the door—sometimes it’s a medical bill someone can’t pay, other times it’s just someone needing advice on how to get paperwork done. We don’t claim to have all the answers, but we listen. The area around Pedda Gandhi Bomma Center is our home, and we feel a responsibility to the people who live here. It’s hard work and some days it feels like we aren’t making much of a dent, but then someone smiles or thanks us and it feels worth it. We don't do this for the name, we do it because it needs doing. It’s just regular life for us now, being there for our neighbors whenever things get a little too heavy for them to carry alone.
