Ladies Youth Association

We are located at 15 Park Street, inside Apeejay House. It is a very famous building in Kolkata, but our office is quite simple once you get inside. The Ladies Youth Association has been around for quite a while. Being on Park Street means there is always noise and traffic outside, but inside we try to keep things calm. We are a group of women who just want to help out where we can. We don't have a big marketing budget or a team of people writing fancy reports. Most of our time is spent talking to people and seeing what help they need. Sometimes it is about education, other times it is just about giving someone a hand during a tough time. We have seen Park Street change a lot over the years, but we have stayed pretty much the same. Our office has stacks of old records and some mismatched chairs, but it feels like home to us. We don't go out looking for praise. We just do the work because it needs to be done. It is a bit of a trek up the stairs sometimes, and the lift is occasionally slow, but we don't mind. We are just glad to have a space in such a central part of the city where people can find us easily.
