Out here in Padappaikadumadukkur, we have our setup at No.29A on North Street. The full name is Sri Soottukkol Guru Food Industries Private Limited, which is quite a mouthful, but we just call it the shop usually. This part of Pattukottai Tk is where we grew up, so it made sense to start here. It’s a quiet area for the most part, away from the big city noise. We’ve got a small facility where we handle the food processing. It’s not a high-tech lab, just a regular place with some good equipment. We spend a lot of time on our feet. The North Street location works well for us because it’s easy for deliveries to find us. We don't have a fancy website or a PR person. It’s just a family-run kind of feel, even if we are a private limited company on paper. We take the work seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. There’s always something that needs fixing or a floor that needs sweeping. That’s just how food industries work when you’re small. Sri Soottukkol Guru Food Industries Private Limited is our way of staying busy in our own town. We’ve been at this for a while and plan to stay for much longer. It’s hard work, but it’s our work. When the sun goes down, we lock up the gate at No.29A and head home. It’s a simple life, but we like it that way. We don't need much more than that.
